Contra-NYC

I don't know how this slipped under the RADAR for me, but Arthur Googy has a project with a few other NYC luminaries and the line-up looks like this:
Arthur Googy: Vocals
Billy Ficca: Drums
Brian Goss: Guitar
George Musa: Bass

Or like this, according to ReverbNation:
Arthur Googy: Vocals
Eric Miles: Drums
George Musa: Bass
Brian Goss: Guitar

At any rate, you can find them at the usual locations:

Both the songs are all right. Nothing spectacular, but solid. The Goog's voice echoes a lot of the old NYC scene and the musicianship is top-notch. Definitely worth a listen. I am left wanting more. Not a lot to be found out about them on the intertubes, but I hope this isn't dead in the water.

EDIT (10 May 2013):
"East of First" is brilliant. It swims somewhere in the same waters that The Stooges, The Voidoids and The Jabbers occupied. Goog's voice is perfect and the leads sizzle with barely-restrained violence. I want more of this.
